The Gold Standard Treatment for OCD is Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), often combined with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to strengthen flexibility and reduce anxiety. At Everlight Therapy, I focus on evidence-based approaches while offering optional, neuroscience-informed tools, such as ILF Neurofeedback, which may help support calm and emotional balance during the treatment process.
ERP helps individuals gradually face fears while resisting the urge to perform compulsions, retraining the brain’s fear response through safe, structured practice.
ACT Therapy interventions, complement this work by helping clients develop mindfulness, self-compassion, and the ability to act in alignment with their values even when anxiety is present.
For some, also integrating Infra-Low Frequency Neurofeedback can further support emotional regulation and therapy engagement.
Neurofeedback is not a primary treatment for OCD, however, it may enhance nervous system stability, making it easier to tolerate the discomfort that naturally arises during ERP and other exposure-based work.
This integrative approach allows therapy to address both mind and body, building emotional resilience, self-trust, and confidence to live beyond the limits of OCD.
